Dawn dish detergent is commonly used for this process. You must also use an adhesion promoter & flex adhesive in your primer, basecoat & clear coat. Finally DO NOT use any chemical based cleaners on the part before applying primer or paint as they can damage the part!! It is recommended to use either a water-based wax cleaner or a 1-1 mixture of isopropyl alcohol & deionized water.**
